ARISE membership is open to two categories of individuals, professionals and student members. Conditions for membership under these two categories are given below for determining the member grade.
 

Members can join ARISE under the grade of professional following graduation from a university offering a program in science or engineering. Three grades of professional members are available.
 

A member grade is given to university graduates with less than five years of work experience or an individual holding a master’s degree with less than three years of work experience.
 

Associate member grade is given to university graduate holding a bachelor degree with more than five and less than ten years of work experience, or a master’s degree and more than three and less than eight years of work experience. A university graduate with a doctorate degree will also receive associate member grade.
 

Senior member grade may be attained by a university graduate with a bachelor’s degree and more than ten years of work experience, a master’s degree with more than eight years of work experience, or a doctorate degree with more than five years of work experience.
 

Grade elevation from member grade to associate member grade is automatic upon completion of the experience requirements. Grade elevation from associate member grade to senior member grade requires the recommendation of three senior members.
 

Individuals who graduated from technical or vocational institutes where their field of study is related to the science and engineering fields of ARISE may join ARISE as Affiliate members.
